Is Ban On Geo/Jang Group Is Solution For Saving Pakistan?

We have been hearing a continuous debate about the Jang/Geo group after the target killing attempt on Hamid Mir, the Senior Anchor Person and Article writer on Geo and Jang group. Hamid Mir and his Family alleged ISI for these attacks after which the state machinery came in to action and we see its consequences in the form of demands to ban Geo Jang group as according to them it is found guilty in accusing the respectable institute of state whose responsibilities are to safeguard the country.

Contrary to it, majority of civil society is against banning or cancelling the license of Jang/Geo group. The reason behind it could be the effective approach of media towards civil society and common public because it sees only what which is shown on media either it is right or wrong. The common public has to think wisely before concluding any theory because they see only one side of the coin while the other side is in dark for them. No doubt the role of media in representing the truth is incredible but watching the other side of scenario, we also have to admit the fact that a huge portion of our media population is also contaminated with lies, twisting of facts, corruption and "enveloped journalism". We cannot deny this fact as we all have experienced many times the truth of these facts.

Well watching the present condition of media, it seems that one of the respectable state institution is wasting its energies in thoughts of defamation claim against Jang Geo group and according to me it won't be taken as a wise decision from public. Majority of our public is of the type who can't differentiate between right or wrong easily so their sympathies can easily be redirected to wrong side. Its not a good decision to ban only one news network but it will be more better to find and track those enemies of state which reside in media and all other important state institutions. It will be more beneficial for the country rather than confusing the public with these quarrels which have no end and will remain forever. We all need to expose those foes of state who live among us in disguising them in the makeup of our sympathetic either speaking for public issues, against our armed forces or inciting the people against a bloody revolution, while undermining the bases of our country. This will be more important than banning a single news network.

The unlimited wait has over and finally 4 telecom companies won the 3G licenses and 1 telecom company won the 4G license in the 3G and 4G license's auction held on 23rd April 2014. Public demand was on peak for 3G and 4G introduction in Pakistan but that issue had been putting in delay by respected authorities. Finally under the orders of Supreme court the auction has completed.

Results Of Auction:

4 major telecom companies of Pakistan took part in this auction which are Zong, Mobilink, Ufone and Telenor. Warid telecom refused to take part in this license auction.
The final results of 3G and 4G license auction in Pakistan are below.

Zong stood at top in this auction by winning a 10MHZ of 4G spectrum license from 1800MHZ band and it won also 10MHZ of 3G Spectrum from 2100MHZ band.

Mobilink won 10MHZ of 3G spectrum from 2100MHZ band.

Telenor won 5MHZ of 3G spectrum from 2100MHZ band.

Ufone also won only 5MHZ 3G spectrum from 2100MHZ band. Ufone was only telecom company along with Zong which had shown interest in buying 4G license but it didn't qualify the term of winning at least 10MHZ 3G spectrum from 2100 MHZ band.

After the final auction, 4 3G licenses have been sold and 1 4G license. Now one 4G spectrum has left for sell. The PTA chairman has announced to hold another auction soon for the license of this spectrum. This auction helped Pakistani government in generating $1.182 billions.

The telecom companies had been testing 3G and 4G services from sometime and it is very near that they will launch these commercially. The new 3G and 4G spectra will form an environment of competition among all telecom companies and they will inspire public by introducing new packages. Currently the Ufone and Telenor considered as good mobile internet service providers but that was with older 2G network. Now the public is waiting anxiously to see 3G and 4G in working order.

A few days ago, BBC Panaroma team disclosed that GSK was involved in bribing the doctors to prescribe their drug for patients in Poland. According to their investigations, GSK employees gave 100 Euros to doctors during 2010 to 2012 and in return asked for at least 100 prescriptions. GSK accepted these allegations but they claim that the Employer who was involved in these frauds was charged by GSK.

This Pandora Box has reminded the people about confession of GSK when it accepted the allegations that some of its employes in China were involved in bribing the doctors for cash and sexual favors during the same period.

The investigation is going on against GSK in UK because it is against the US and UK laws for any pharmaceutical company to pay doctors in order to get prescriptions of their drugs from them. If these allegations will be proved, then GSK could face heavy charges for this fraud and corruption.

Well the question arise here, is it right to pay doctors in order to get more revenue from their prescribed drugs? One of doctors who were paid by GSK presented a simple equation. He said that whoever comes to us and gives us benefits, we remember him and his drugs and forget those who don't visit us. Well it is a simple theory which we also see in Pakistan. In Pakistan, it is a common practice that doctors take bribe from pharmaceutical companies in different forms. Some are bribed with cash and some doctors take bribe in the form of restaurant deals, hotel packages and dinner packages.

The laws here are same as laws in UK and USA but no one takes action against it. Actually laws are present here but even public don't want them to be implemented because of our sick psychic. Drugs are available without any prescriptions on the medical store. Chemist doesn't care of prescribed brand and gives the brands to patients which give more profit. In this way all are looting and all are loosing. The laws should strictly be implemented in order to see fair use of drugs in country.

Attack On Hamid Mir; Causes And Consequences.

Whole Pakistan is condemning the assassination attempt on Geo News anchor person Hamid Mir. Whole civil society and journalist associations together with public are condemning this attack. It is a fact that Pakistan is considered as among the most dangerous countries for journalists. This incident will strengthen this fact. Well it is being said by family of Hamid Mir that ISI and its chief are responsible for these attacks. I don't know how much true these allegations but I have to say something about this.

If these accusations are right and ISI is responsible for this attack then we should also have to think what factors made ISI to commit this attack? ISI is responsible for the state security and saving state from external and internal conspiracies by getting their knowledge before they appear. Well if the Chief Of ISI and whole agency is responsible for an illegal attack, then how can we prove the purity of all other institutions of state including Judiciary and Media because the work of secret agencies is to keep an eye and check over all conspiracies related to these institutions. If ISI is working something illegal and false, the state feels insecurity then. In this manner all the institutions not trustworthy..

On the other hand, if these allegations are result of any misunderstanding and there is no relation between Hamid Mir and ISI then we have to search for the real culprit.

Whoever the culprit is, the consequences of these allegations will be frightening because the nationwide protest from media side is bringing down the popularity graph of Army and ISI but we should understand this before concluding anything that media has power to say anything but the armed forces haven't so we should try to understand the situation and then draw anything from this situation.

Street Crimes And Target Killing In Karachi..

Karachi was called the "City Of Lights" some years ago but now it is only called the "City Of Death". Yeah in the recent years the increased rate of street crimes, target killings, bomb blasts, terrorist activities and critical law and order situation of the city has been proving it. We see and hear in news about the crimes from street snatching to bank robberies, from kidnapping to murder, from target killing to bomb blasts. All of these crimes are condemnable and every one condemns it. Still after this, the wave of crimes is boosting and we see no notable decrease in crimes.

The influence of different political parties more than law enforcement institutions in the city seems the root of these crimes. Its true to some extent but all this isn't limited to only political parties. Many extremist groups are also present in the city who on the name of religion are spreading terrorism. This is the most tragic factor. The 2 billion population of Karachi is being divided on the ethnical, political, lingual and sectarian bases. In this way the people of Karachi themselves are helping others to destroy the peace of city.
Well these factors are considered as the reasons of insecurity in Karachi. Now we come to street crimes.

Street crimes becoming common in Karachi and now people have left to register FIR against these crimes because they have accepted this as routine thing. In street crimes citizens loose their cellphones, money, motor cycles, cars etc. Daily hundreds of people are loosing their precious things even on busy roads. The main factor defined for these crimes is unemployment. Though in some cases, it is a reason indeed but we have to also face a brutal truth that different political parties and extremist groups collect funds in this way to run their movements. Due to which, this trend is increasing. The looters are supported by VIPs and politicians so that's why they don't get punishment by law for their acts.

Target killing is worse problem than street crimes. According to my personal observation, those who started looting on streets first, have become target killers in the end who kill people just for money. In the last 4 years, target killing has become a routine here. People from all places are being killed here. No matter the victim belongs to political party, from a specific school of thought, speaker of any language or whoever. These killers don't differentiate between them and kill whoever is their target. Target killing has frightened people more than street crimes due to which Karachitians are living in the state of fear. The role of law enforcement agencies is being condemned here but the fact is that they themselves aren't safe from these attacks.

Well we are victims of some international conspiracies but the shameful thing is that our people are supporting these conspiracies by their acts. Thus we are not getting rid of these crimes. A few months ago, the target killing of CID Superintendent of Police Chauhdry Aslam showed that the people who are willing to end these horrible crimes are also unsafe and they also need protection. We need protection from our lords and need to identify between the right and wrong thus we can collectively overcome these crimes.

Problems Of Rural Population In Pakistan

There are two types of population basically found in Pakistan. First is Urban and the other is rural. Urban population is that which lives in cities and towns which are developed or at the point of development. On the other hand, rural population is that which lives in villages. There is much difference in the lifestyles of both types of population. In Pakistan, urban population is living in much more better fashion if we compare it to lifestyle and problems of rural population. Life in rural areas of Pakistan isn't easy and sometimes it seems that Pakistani rural population is still living in 18th century. Though many parts of rural areas are supplied with electricity and gas specially in the Sindh region but the overall life of these villagers is filled with problems. There are many problems which these poor people are facing but I will explain few major problems of our villagers.

1. Health Problems:

The most prominent problem which our villagers are facing is the problem of health. Even after 64 years of independence, our rural population is not being provided suitable health and care services from the government. There is lack of hospitals and doctors in these areas and we see only those doctors servicing here who possess the passion of servicing the humanity and mankind and we know that there is lack of such people in our country so a huge majority of our rural dwellers are not getting fine facilities of heath and care which is resulting in epidemic diseases and deaths. The recent example is of Thar where hundreds of people died due to multiple diseases in drought conditions. Many common diseases which can be easily cures bring the messages of death to these villagers because they don't know where to cure these diseases. This is a shameful thing.

2. Food Problems:

The large quantity of food which we eat is grown by our villagers but its a disgraceful fact that the people who grow this food die with lack of food. That's true. Due to feudal system, it is a common practice that our farmers and peasants don't get the worth amount of their work. The big profit goes in the pocket of landlord and the people who did hard work in the land get a tiny share. Due to this, lack of food is another big problem of rural population.

3. Water Problems:

Lets talk about the average type of landlords and farmers of this population. In words, they own a land but there problem is that they get almost nothing from their land. The reason is that the "big crocodiles" by force or by corruption get the most of water and these "small fishes" receive a little amount of water to irrigate their fields. Thus failed to get good crops from their land. This is causing them to remain poor and helpless. Well it was about the crops, even the human don't have to drink clean water. Lack of clean water is horrible thing in these areas. Humans and animals drink from the same pond.. Can it be tolerated in an urban population?? But these poor people are bearing this. They are living just like Ethiopians..

4. Feudalism Problems:

Feudalism is itself a problem for our rural population. The landlord in an area lives like the totalitarian king of his area. What he does becomes the law of that area. They don't care of the common people in their territory and keep ruining them for which they aren't answerable to Government and law. They do inhuman activities and brutal acts but are still called respectable. This way our rural population is suffering in a dual way. No one is to really hear them because they only know the landlord of their state.

Well the problems of our rural population aren't end here. They are suffering in many other ways like women rights, unavailability of basic facilities etc but I end my article here. Its better to see the poor condition of these villagers with our own eyes rather than just reading in papers or blogs.

Problem Of Unemployment In Pakistan

Unemployment has become a beast nowadays which is engulfing the peace of the world. It is not only the problem in Pakistan but the whole world is facing a massive decrease in jobs including the most developed and civilized nations of the world including United States and United Kingdom. The continuous increase in the realization of uncertainty is killing the world economy which is causing the giant drop in jobs. In the last year, million of people lost their jobs. Well it is the situation of whole world but as a Pakistani citizen, I will be confined to problem of unemployment in Pakistan only.Its not a recent problem in Pakistan. This problem has been existing since the independence of Pakistan. Well at that time, it wasn't difficult to manage because population and rate of unemployment were both at a limited point. As soon as the population started increasing and the resources got decreasing, it caused the decrease in job opportunities too. This situation is still existing. This is boosted by terrorism, corruption and other factors which are killing for country's economy. We see daily that factories stop working due to unavailability of electricity and gas, due to insecurity and for so many reasons. Shut down of one factory effects thousands of workers and they loose their jobs. In this way, many people get unemployed. It is the fact at the workers level who are working as labors. This situation is worse for educated people who are graduated and even masters in their subjects but still they don't find good job for them. They give interviews and send their CVs too many offices but are rejected which creates a state of frustration.
The frustration which comes from unemployment and lack of jobs gives rise to damaging peace. Yeah, most of the street crimes which we see in our country happen because of the reason that the looters have not succeeded in finding any jobs. Increasing the jobs can maintain the law and order situation of country. We have an example of UAE where at a time critical law and order situation was controlled successfully by increasing the job opportunities.
Well another thing important for the unemployed people is that they should not loose hope and try to continue their struggle if they don't find a job. Job is not the only solution of unemployment. They can work yourself to earn money. The basic purpose of job is to earn money and to have a peaceful life. If this purpose can be fulfilled by other sources, then why is there need to run behind the glittering gold. Try to discover the diamond skills invaded by you and use them to work. There are thousand of works which can an unemployed person do to be safe from the lack of money.

"Nature reacts mercilessly when it is teased."

We are experiencing the truth of this sentence in present era while we are facing the ruthless attacks of nature in many forms. One of them is global warming. Nature is uproar on our inhuman activities which have disturbed its peace thus making us the victims of its brutal attacks in the form of global warming.
Global warming is becoming the worst problem of mother earth.
Its an earth disease which is equally disturbing for whole world. We have disturbed the peace of nature and it is shaking us with the tremors of global warming. Well talking about global warming, we first understand what is global warming.

Definition Of Global Warming:

Global warming is the gradual increase in the temperature of the globe disturbing the natural cycles and climatic conditions of the world in an irregular way.
This definition shows the consequences of global warming but not its causes. Without understanding its causes, it is difficult to know from where the global warming comes.

Causes Of Global Warming:

There are many factors which are causing the global warming. The major cause is the depletion in Ozone layer. Ozone layer serves as a barrier for us to be safe from direct ultraviolet rays from the sun. This layer is continuously depleting due to the use of CFC's (Chloro Fluoro Carbons). This is a group of organic gases which are used in cooling products like refrigerators, air conditioners etc. By using them, we are cooling ourselves temporarily from one side and opening the gate of hell only for us from other side. How much the hilarious situation it is ?
Well another cause of global warming are burning of organic fuels which includes petroleum, coal, wood etc. This burning is increasing ratio of Carbon Di Oxide in the atmosphere which ultimately results in the increased temperature. It is causing an effect like of Green House Effect. The continuous deforestation and limited forestation is also a reason of global warming. The trees which provide Oxygen for us are being cut brutally and nature sobs are warming the world.

Effects Of Global Warming:

Global warming is effecting world in multiple ways. Disturbance in weather cycle and collapse in climatic condition is the most prominent effect of global warming. Now we are watching a complete change in behavior of weathers which is surprising even shocking for us. The summer is boiling the people of those areas where it never came before with such intensity and winter is also at its peak from where it used to turn back before entering there. Another effect is the increase in the ratio of skin diseases. The ultraviolet rays which are coming directly to us are causing skin cancers in a faster pace then normal. The increase in number of floods, storms, cyclones, hurricanes etc is another worse effect of global warming.

Whole world is talking about global warming. Ecologists and environmentalists from all world are trying to save the earth from global warming and make a clean world for our new generations. Hope we all get rid of global warming very soon. Though it seems difficult but it is not impossible..

Thar Drought

Mother earth is crying with sobs on the helpless situation of these poor people who don't have water to drink, who don't have anything to eat, who are dying with starvation, due to famine situations in their area. Poor Tharis, the residents of District Tharparkar Sindh..
The land of Thar falls in the category of desert ecosystem where the ratio of annual rainfall is already less than 25mm. Moreover, another tragedy occurred with them in the form of continuous drought which has brought the situation of famine in this area. Due to this drought, more than 400 children have been died. More than 0.175 million families have been severely affected with starvation, diseases and thirst.
This situation is not new. The region of Sindh has been the victim of floods, droughts from many years. Not only in Tharparkar, but almost all areas of interior Sindh which aren't owned by Powerful landlords are facing this drought situation. The canals have dried, the land is suffering with salinity.. Area to grow crops is continuously reducing and the corruption in canal departments is at its peak. Only those landowners are supplied water who happily give them a handsome amount of money in the form of bribe. Thus many poor landowners get nothing. Only mighty landlords get benefit. The drought is not only in Thar but in the whole Sindh.

Thar has been effected more with it. Poor Thar, the children crying with hunger, the children struggling to keep their breaths safe to remain alive, the children suffering from malnutrition, dying from the dehydration. Tolerating the severe drought under the scorching flame of Sun. Whoever can live without water there? But they are living.. Waiting for the instant help, instant aid.. But they don't know that their problem isn't the drought. They don't know the actual reason of their problem is Man-Like beast who lives around them. We are manifestation of this beast, just we are. We are celebrating festivals, we are celebrating events. We watch them but quickly turn our eyes to more joyful scenes to forget that miserable situation of these poor people. We with one eye slightly opened, watch them dying and with other eye widely opened, watch the bodies dancing. We close our ears to prevent listening their sobs but open them to listen the songs which are being sung on the name of "Sindh Dharti". What a strange and shocking situation this is..

Thar drought has taken the lives of more than 300 needy people among them the prominent majority is of those children who were suffering with malnutrition. Those died with lack of food who live in the neighbor of Lords and wealthy people whose one day meal is more expensive than the whole month's needs of these poor Tharis. Their deaths seem hilarious in this situation and a slap of taunt over them.. The witch of death is laughing over them, the drought is spoofing upon them saying,

"You Lords, Listen and Watch, You are so much rich that you can buy even your reputation, joy, your status and everything which you imagine but see, you can't buy life. I am taking the lives of people from your neighborhood and one day will come when I will catch you."

That's all.. We all can face this situation so its better to help them when they need so we also don't remain helpless at the time of our needs.
